Wild Atlantic Way Map

Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way is the world’s longest-defined coastal route and is located alongside the west coast of Ireland. The adventure starts at the Inishowen Peninsula in Co. Donegal and this fabulous touring road follows the coastline of counties Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Limerick and Kerry, finishing in beautiful Kinsale in County Cork. The route covers 1600 miles (2600 km) and is one of the most beautiful motorcycle touring drives.

The Wild Atlantic Way Map is split into 6 sections

  • Northern Headlands – Donegal
  • Surf Coast – Wind and Waves
  • Bay Coast – Open Air Playground
  • Cliff Coast – Rough and Beautiful
  • Southern Penninsula – That Edge of the World Feeling
  • Haven Coast – Nature Sets The Pace

The main route is highlighted and includes many exciting discovery points and signature points. Some of these points are piers with ferry locations with connections to neighbouring Islands. Important to note is that many of these ferries are passenger only and are marked accordingly. Likewise, car and motorbike ferry crossings are highlighted on the map. It is advisable to check with these Island ferry crossings in advance as some need to be booked or only operate at certain times.

Star Wars filming locations are highlighted. Good locations and spots recommended by locals are highlighted as well as mountain passes.
